EC-501A(G) Control Unit

The EC-501A(G) Control Unit powers and controls each Dynatrol® G-Series Level Sensor (CL-10GJ Solid Level Sensor, CL-10GS Solid Level Sensor, CL-10GSS Solid Level Sensor, and CL-10GH Liquid Level Sensor), including sealed and suspended units, and is required for the level sensor’s designed operation. Within the EC‐501A(G), a SPDT relay is operated from the ON/OFF signal of the Dynatrol level sensor. Process control equipment, level alarms, or indicator lights can be activated from the contacts of this control unit.

EC-501A(G) Level Sensor Control Unit

General Information

The Dynatrol G-Series Level Sensors contain circuitry that integrates with the EC-501A(G) Control Unit to operate both the level probe and switching. The EC-501A(G) performs frequency and voltage analysis to actuate switching at the desired point level of detection. This technology reduces false tripping, making level measurements more dependable. The combination of level probe design and our unique electronics makes our level sensors both reliable and rugged.

Wash Down and NEMA 4X Assembly

The EC-501A(G) Control Unit and housing assembly can be optionally configured for wash down and also NEMA 4X-rated environments. Housing assemblies for these units are made watertight. Additionally, NEMA 4X grade housing assemblies are epoxy-coated. These configurations are the perfect solution for food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical processing industries where equipment is frequently exposed to water, chemical or high-temperature solution washdowns.
