Dynatrol® control units work with vibratory level sensors to determine when material reaches the selected detection point. Advanced signal analysis helps provide dependable switching and data for industrial point level measurement.
Level sensors are only one part of a Dynatrol® measurement system. The electronic control unit analyzes the signal from the probe and determines when the actual level switch point has been reached.
Dynatrol’s EC-501A circuitry performs frequency and voltage analysis to make this determination. This additional signal analysis is designed to reduce false tripping and provide more dependable level measurement.
Electronic control units designed to interpret Dynatrol® vibratory sensor signals and provide reliable switching for point level measurement.
The EC-501A is the powerhouse behind Dynatrol® D-Series Level Sensor (CL-10DJ Solid Level Sensor, CL-10DJ-7 Solid Level Sensor, and CL-10DJI Interface Level Sensor). Its built-in SPDT relay responds to the sensor’s ON/OFF signal, driving alarms, indicator lights or process controls. Sophisticated frequency and voltage analysis reduces false tripping, so you get consistent level detection you can trust. Available models in 120 VAC, 240 VAC, and 24 VDC.
Purpose-built for Dynatrol® G-Series Level Sensor (CL-10GJ Solid Level Sensor, CL-10GS Solid Level Sensor, CL-10GSS Solid Level Sensor, and CL-10GH Liquid Level Sensor), the EC-501A(G) mirrors the performance of the standard EC-501A with tailored circuitry for liquid, slurry and interface probes. It delivers the same rugged reliability, false-trip immunity and flexible outputs in demanding process conditions.
The control unit receives and analyzes the signal from the Dynatrol® vibratory level probe. It determines when the actual level switch point has been reached so the system can provide the required level indication.
Separating the sensing probe from the electronic control function allows the control unit to analyze the probe signal before determining the switch condition. The EC-501A performs both frequency and voltage analysis to help reduce false tripping.
The EC-501A analyzes both frequency and voltage before making a decision about the actual level switch point. Dynatrol® specifically identifies this additional analysis as helping reduce false tripping and make level measurement more dependable.
The EC-501A control unit is designed for our D Series sensors while the EC-501A(G) is for our G Series sensors.
