Sand Level Switch Applications

Dynatrol level indicator systems are used for sand applications in foundry's, concrete mixing facilities, barge loading, sand blasting and over-the-road transportation just to mention a few.

Our CL10-DJ level probes can be made from 316 stainless steel. For more abrasive or corrosive service, our level switches can be made from even more durable materials. These switches are used as “point level“ switches and have dry Form C contacts. This configuration lends itself to use as both high and low level switching.

Our level switch system also contains the electronic circuitry that both operates the level probe and makes decisions regarding level switching. The control unit is the EC 501A. The EC 501A level switch control unit contains circuitry that performs both frequency and voltage analysis to make decisions regarding the actual level switch point. This technology has been added to the level control in order to reduce false tripping and make level measurements more dependable.
